TCA Safety & Compliance Consulting, L.P.

Often companies have Health and Safety (HSE) concerns within their organization, but can’t justify hiring a full time HSE Director or Manager. That’s why I created TCA Safety & Compliance Consulting, L.P.

I wanted to make professional HSE consulting services available to companies that have had an OSHA inspection, need HSE assistance developing a HSE management system and/or a third party review of current HSE policies, standards and procedures.

History

After graduation, I served with the U.S. Navy as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) and Plans, Operations, & Medical Intelligence Officer (POMI). EHO’s are responsible for the Environmental Health (EH) and Preventive Medicine (PM) programs Navy & Marine Corps Operational forces.

After the U.S. Navy, I worked for an oil & gas drilling company as an International Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist supporting projects in the United States (domestic & off-shore), Africa and Latin America.

Transitioned to BP America Production Company progressing to HSE Manager and Crisis Management professional roles. Unified Area Command Safety Officer (FEMA Type I) supporting the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill (MC252) response operations in 2010.

Director Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) for a restoration, construction and emergency response company. Built the HSE team to include three Division HSE Managers and over 20 HSE coordinators. Designed and implemented an HSE Management System and training program.

Recently, contracted with a consulting firm supporting Maryland COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Response operations (Response Consultant III). Initially as the mass vaccination site Safety Officer (FEMA Type 1) then promoted to Operations Section Chief (FEMA Type 1). At peak operations, providing over 4,500 COVID vaccinations per day with a staff of 250 medical professionals and support personnel.
